Kara Beauty Fall Editorial Palettes

Role: Sr. Graphic Designer
Scope: Art Direction, Visual Storytelling, Packaging Design, Print Production

The Challenge Kara Beauty's fall palette collection needed to feel elevated — distinct from the brand's younger, more playful product lines and positioned for a more sophisticated customer.

The Approach To set the right tone, I sourced and selected illustrator Janice Sung, whose work carried a refined, editorial quality that matched where this collection needed to land. Rather than a full-figure composition, I directed her to focus on the face — using the palette's actual color story as the illustration's color palette. The packaging became a direct expression of what was inside.

The Result A cohesive fall collection where the illustration, color narrative, and product all spoke the same language — executed across packaging and print touchpoints.
